This kit eliminates the two main problems of the leaking valve covers: 1) Old fashioned gaskets materials 2) Uneven sealing surfaces of the stamped valve covers. The gasket material is a modern silicon rubber known as “NO BLOW” in the aviation industry. These gaskets are also reusable and don’t dry out and harden. Stamped valve covers have distorted and wavey sealing surfaces from the manufacturing process. These covers are surface ground flat on the sealing edges to allow full uninterrupted even contact at all points with the gasket to the top of the cylinder.
